You deserve to enjoy the life you’ve built.
Therapy for high-achieving adults who want to get out of their heads and into their lives, and couples who want to get out of their patterns and back to each other
In-person therapy in Philadelphia, online across PA, NJ & DE
On the outside, you have everything you worked so hard for.
On the inside, you’re wondering why it doesn’t feel the way you thought it would.
You're anxious in a way most people don't see.
On paper, you're doing well. Functioning, capable, probably succeeding by most measures. But your brain doesn't stop — and the moment something good happens, part of you is already scanning for what could go wrong. You spiral in ways that are exhausting to live inside, and then comes the second layer: what do I even have to complain about? Life is good, objectively. Which somehow makes it harder, not easier, to explain why you can't just enjoy it.
You're well-liked, but it doesn’t feel like many people really know you.
You know how to be "on" — but being on isn't the same as being yourself. In social situations you end up focused on everyone else's experience of you: did that person like you, were you interesting enough, did you come across as awkward, and if something feels off you assume you're the issue. You want close relationships, but the overthinking and trying to get it right leaves you drained — and with a nagging feeling that something is wrong with you, that this thing that seems to come so easily to other people somehow doesn't for you.
You go with the flow — but you don't actually want to.
You're the one who says "I don't mind" but actually you do. You wanted the pizza. That time didn't work for you. You wanted your partner to be the one who gave something up for once. But in the moment you convince yourself it's not that big of a deal, to pick your battles — or that if you do say something, you risk being disappointed anyway. So you don't. And now there's a frustration that has nowhere to go because you technically never asked.
Hi, I’m Virginia (she/her).
If you're like most of the people I work with, you're doing well in most areas of your life and still feel like something is missing where it matters most. Usually that something is pretty specific: real intimacy in your relationships, relief from a brain that won't quiet down, and the confidence to start moving toward what you actually want — not just what you're good at.
I believe that when we begin to listen to the voice inside that's been asking for more, we can use it as a guide. Through body-based, depth-oriented therapy, we go beyond just talking about what's not working and get to the root of the places you keep getting stuck — so you can live a richer, fuller life.
I specialize in:
01
Learn to tend to the worries in your mind, the tension in your body, and stress in your relationships to find the calm, confidence and grounding that you crave.
02
Find relief from overwhelm and the feeling that you are “too much.” Learn to befriend your sensitivity, lean into your intuitive gifts and find the deep connections you long for.
03
Break free from cycles of chronic stress and begin to reconnect with what enlivens you, rest in a way that nourishes you, and find the inner permission to believe that you are already enough.
I offer:
-
Somatic therapy is a mind-body approach that helps you to process and release trauma, learn to regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with the ways your system innately knows how to heal.
-
Parts work is a compassionate, intuitive approach that invites us to get to know all the different parts of who you so you can embrace the wise Self within.
-
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is an attachment-based approach that invites us to transform difficult emotions and past traumas into sources of healing and connection.
